THEY’LL be disruption on the roads in Barry as a major thoroughfare is set for re-surfacing work.
From May 14, for five days, Vale Council will carry out resurfacing work on Park Crescent.
The works will take place between 6pm to midnight from Tuesday, May 14, to Monday, May 20.
The resurfacing work is set to take place from the roundabout with the Sainsburys at Pontypridd Road, through to the roundabout with Harbour Road and Park Road. Diversions will be put in place.
Vale Council say local businesses will be open as usual during the works and have apologised for the inconvenience.
On the works, a spokesperson for the council said: “We are delighted to announce the upcoming carriageway resurfacing works in Park Crescent, Barry.
“While we understand there's never an ideal time for large-scale works, we've carefully planned these improvements to minimize disruption.
“The works are scheduled for evenings from 14/05/2024 to 20/05/2024 (18:00 – 00:00 hrs) for five evenings, with no weekend work planned.
“Rest assured, a well-marked diversion will be in place to guide you safely through the area, and all footways will remain open for your convenience.
“Plus, local businesses will be open as usual during the works.
“We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we enhance this vital location. Thank you for your ongoing support.
