BARRY Town United have fought admirably for the town on the hallowed green turf of Jenner Park, remaining in the JD Cymru Premier after being promoted last season, and now they are fighting for Barry off the pitch in the industry of hospitality - offering a Sunday roast.
The side's clubhouse only introduced Sunday lunch in December 2023 and now it's bedded in we went and tried it!
With a successful winter for the organisation’s Sunday lunches, it felt right to shine a light on the delicious treat.
When we were there, we were greeted by the welcoming staff at Barry Football Club.
The tables were set to have a busy Sunday afternoon.
Sunday Roasts start at £11.95 for adults and £7.95 for children with weekly deals over on their Facebook page which differ from money off too free desserts.
The clubhouse Sunday lunch is served by Sandra, formally of the Sportsman Rest.
Speaking with a fond Sunday lunch goer, Deborah Crow, 51 from Barry, she expressed her enthusiasm for this roast.
On the roast, Ms Crow said: ’’You don’t get the service and quality of food everywhere that you go like you do at the football club.
"My highlight and must try is the Yorkshire pudding filled with stuffing.
"It’s got to be my number one."

You can add a Yorkshire pudding filled with stuffing for an extra 50p per piece.
For a sweet treat after your main, you can pay £5 for a dessert.
The desserts do change every week - ask staff on arrival to find out what is on offer.
The first sitting commences at 12.30pm with the second sitting commencing at 3pm.
