The winners of the Vale of Glamorgan Fairtrade Youth Competition have been announced.
The junior winner was Inés from St Joseph’s School, Penarth and Moyo Bankole from Llantwit Major School won the senior category.
Praise for the winners was given, with judges noting Moyo’s winning video as "very strong, highly accomplished and delivered on the brief on every level."
For Inés’s winning entry, the judges recognized it as "a vibrant and well-designed poster with clear, neat and tidy messaging."
Moyo's video was shown to the attendees, as well as a song by Dinas Powys Primary School's Year 2 eco committee, the runners up.
Inés and Moyo were given hampers of Fairtrade goodies.
130 submissions, expressed through mediums including artwork, poetry and videos, competed for victory in a competition designed to mark the 15-year anniversary of Wales as the first Fair Trade Nation.
Vale of Glamorgan MS Jane Hutt presented the prizes to the winners on April 19.
The entries will be on display at the library till May 11, with subsequent exhibitions across the Vale throughout 2024.
