A special 'Fringe' festival will take place in Barry this summer.
GlastonBARRY organisers are planning a music and community event around the town, commencing June 3.
Festival organiser, Matt Blumberg, described their intention, saying: "We started a community interest company (Comet CIC) in December 2022 with the idea of using GlastonBARRY Festival to give back to Barry."
He explained further: "This year, we're stepping things up and the main thing for us is to try and collaborate with other organisations, promoters and venues around the town."
The festival aims to stimulate arts, culture, and tourism, and foster community spirit in Barry.
Activities from June 3 to 8 will include performances, exhibitions, workshops, and a community event on June 8 in the town's central park and square. The schedule can be found at www.cometcic.com.
BRO RADIO's talent competition will also feature, alongside its Welsh language counterpart, SEREN Y FRO.
Mr Blumberg noted that while some events will be ticketed, most will be free, thanks to funding from Comet CIC.
Anyone wishing to support Comet CIC's free events in Barry can make a donation online.
