A new choir has been formed in the Vale ahead of the National Eisteddfod.
The festival, Europe's largest cultural festival, is taking place from August 3 to 10 in Pontypridd.
For the first time since 2012, the event will come within 15 miles of the Vale of Glamorgan.
In a first-time competition on August 4, choirs formed exclusively for the festival will perform.
The Vale choir, Lleisiau’r Fro, will hold its first meeting on April 15 from 6pm to 7.15pm at Holy Trinity Hall.
From June 10, rehearsals will be held twice a week.
The choir will perform two songs at the Eisteddfod: "Un ydym ni" arranged by Geraint Cynan, and "Builth", arranged by Jeff Howard.
The Vale's pop-up choir, Vale Voices, will mesh into Lleisiau’r Fro.
Jeff Howard, a regular Eisteddfod accompanist, will lead the choir in two sessions.
Families are welcome, and Welsh language skills aren't required.
