The mayor of Barry celebrated Easter with a number of services throughout the town.
Cllr Ian Johnson attended a Good Friday service at St Mary’s Church on Holton Road where Father Dan Barnes-Davies of the Barry Ministry Area told the Easter story of Jesus' death and resurrection.
The service took place in the church's new community garden, which will be formally opened in the coming months.
The mayor also spent the Easter weekend at a sunrise service at St Baruc’s Church ruins on Barry Island and Merthyr Dyfan Parish Church with his consort Cllr Millie Collins.
Cllr Johnson said: "It was lovely to be invited to join parishioners at St Mary’s Church on Good Friday to hear the Easter story, and to attend services over the Easter weekend at the ruins of St Baruc’s Chapel and at Merthyr Dyfan Parish Church.
"Easter is an important time in the Christian faith, and it was nice to share that with congregations of the Barry Ministry Area in different parts of the town."
