As the Easter Bank Holiday comes to an end and with most people staying at home, our bins will be filled with leftover food and chocolate egg packaging.
Most people would have used this bank holiday weekend to get away for a well-deserved break and would have to worry about rubbish.
Because of the double bank holiday, sometimes waste collections are changed so the collectors get the day off.
We looked at the collection days for the Vale of Glamorgan, and there is not much change.
Vale of Glamorgan
There is no change to waste and recycling collection over the bank holiday period. People are being asked to present their waste as normal.
Are recycling centres open?
Both the Barry Recycling Centre at the Atlantic Trading Estate and the Llandow Recycling Centre in Cowbridge closed for the bank holiday but reopen today, Tuesday, April 2 at 10am. But residents are reminded that you have to book an appointment and can't just turn up.
When will bins be collected?
Recycling and food waste will be collected on your normal collection day. Black bags go out every three weeks and garden waste every fortnight for those who pay the annual subscription.
