A BARRY man was sent to prison for driving on drugs and on a major motorway without a licence.
On October 19, 2023, Andre Laventure was caught driving an Audi Q5 on the town’s Waycock Road (A4226) while high on cannabis.
Then, on February 4 this year, Laventure was caught driving on the M6 round Junctions 10 and 10a with no driving licence, or insurance.
Laventure, 36, of Aurora Court, Lower Holmes Street, pleaded guilty to all charges on March 22.

Sentenced at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 25; for the offences committed on the M6, Laventure, was handed a 20-week prison sentence.
For the driving offence committed in Barry, Laventure was handed a four-week prison sentence to run concurrent.
The offences were committed with Laventure already under a suspended sentence order.
