Barry pupils at All Saints C/W Primary School celebrated National Science Week with an unforgettable programme of scientific discovery.
It began with Science Made Simple's 'Bubbles and Balloons' show, exploring the science of soap, water, air and energy through hands-on experiments like attempting to make square bubbles and balloon helicopters.
Later, older students enjoyed the 'X-tra Factor' show, introducing them to six remarkable yet unsung women in STEM.
They ranged from inventors to volcanologists, inspiring pupils with their achievements and the modern-day equivalents they influenced.
Interactive workshops followed this captivating start.
Year 3 and Year 4 students dived into the science of sound and communication through a 'Busking' session on Wednesday.
Hands-on soldering activities awaited Year 5 and 6 students on Thursday during a 'Madlab' workshop, complete with an informative talk about electricity, circuits, and components.
The entire school indulged in various science experiments throughout the week.
There was a visit from 'Dan the Chilli Man', who held a family workshop on the intriguing science of taste perception and chilli cultivation.
The week concluded on a spicy note, with participants getting a tantalising taste of chillies.
The school thanked Science Made Simple for their support, expressing eagerness for next year's Science Week.
