It takes around four months to sell a house in Barry according to new research.
Data from Property Solvers' speed of sale tool reveals house sales are taking an average of 114 days to complete across the Barry (CF62 and CF63) postcodes since the start of the covid pandemic that's 16.29 weeks.
Their latest data - updated monthly - assessed more than 170 property sales between February 2023 and February 2024, tracking homes from their listing on Rightmove to the official 'sold' marking at the HM Land Registry.
For 113 homes in the CF62 postcode, sellers waited 114 days on average, while in CF63, 57 home sellers averaged a wait of 103 days.
Ruban Selvanayagam of Property Solvers said: "Whilst we’re starting to see some noticeable improvements into 2024, the continued pressures on the mortgage sector and buyers' ability to secure the right kind of finance has resulted in delays with sales completing."
