A yellow weather warning has been issued for ice across the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Met Office said ice and small amounts of snow could lead to slippery surfaces in a few places.
The warning comes into force from 3pm and ends at 3am, the warning covers all the Vale of Glamorgan.
The forecaster has said people can expect “light sleet or snow flurries” with temperatures dropping as low as - 4°C in Barry and Penarth.
While most people are enjoying a break from heavy rain brought by Storm Henk last week, frost and snow are now forecast for the Vale from 7 pm tonight according to the Met Office.
The forecast for tonight says that there will be scattered light sleet or snow flurries but will be dry overnight with lengthening clear periods later.
There will be Gusty easterly winds in places feeling very cold with a widespread frost. The forecaster's long-range weather prediction shows that there is a chance of significant snow during the middle of this month.
The forecast from January 22 predicts that there is an increased chance compared to normal of cold conditions along with the associated impacts from low temperatures, ice and snow.
What to expect?
There will be some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Some injuries from slips and falls on icy or snowy surfaces.
