A POPULAR Indian takeaway in Barry has been shortlisted for a national honour at the Nation's Curry Awards 2024 - again.
Already a multi-award winning business, the shortlisting sees Royal Balti up for its second award of 2024 already, having already won at the Good Food Awards 2024.
The takeaway has had a very successful year, celebrating its 20th anniversary of serving only the best Indian cuisine within the local community.
In 2023 alone, it won four awards, including Best Indian Establishment at the Food Awards Wales.
it has been shortlisted in the Takeaway of the Year Wales category at the Nation's Curry Awards this year, and are hoping to retain the title for the second time having come out on top at last year's ceremony.
Their victory in the Good Food Awards earlier this month notched their third award there in a row.
Much of their success can be put down to their knowhow when it comes to what makes delicious Indian cuisine and their innate ability to find some unusual and unique, but no less delicious, flavours and dishes for their loyal customer base to try.
Owners Muhammad Ahmed and Niaz Haidari, said: "Our takeaway has built up a good reputation over the years, because we provide excellent service and maintain our quality.
“Even though we are going through the toughest times and paying high costs for everything we still haven't dropped in quality – we have continued to offer quality food to our customers and taking less profit.
"We are always seeking new ideas and trying to improve to ensure our business keeps its valuable reputation and loyal customer base.
“Thank you to our customers who are continually supporting us.”
The team have called it "an honour" to be shortlisted for the national awards yet again.
Royal Balti has also been awarded the highest food hygiene rating possible of five stars following an inspection on June 14, 2023.
Royal Balti can be found at 44 Vere Street Cadoxton Barry CF63 2HU or you can order your takeaway by calling 01446 421366 or clicking www.royalbalti.co.uk.
