IT IS that time of year between Christmas and New Year when you are full of turkey and don’t know what time of day it is.
To stop you from going stir crazy we have put together a list of five activities for you and the family to enjoy across the Vale of Glamorgan.
Boxing Day History Walk – Barry
The Goodsheds in Barry is hosting a 90-minute history walk around the High Street while hearing Victorian stories about the area.
When: Tuesday, December 26.
Where: Goodsheds, Hood Road, Barry, 2pm, until 3.30pm.
Toddler Storytime at Griffin Books – Penarth
This is something for the little ones overwhelmed by the fun of Christmas, Griffin Books is hosting a toddler story time for two to five-year-olds.
It is a free and relaxed session, where new stories will be read at 10:30 am
When: Thursday, December 28.
Where: Griffin Books, Windsor Road, Penarth.
Goodges Rock Out: LIVE – Barry
Something for the adults, a live music event with a group covering huge band covers such as Green Day, Queen, AC/DC, Journey, Blink 182, Bryan Adams, Guns N Roses, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and many more.
It’s a free entry event, starting at 8 pm.
When: Friday, December 29.
Where: The Colcot Arms, Colcot Road, Barry
Barry Island Winter Wonderland – Barry
Why not enjoy rides and a Winter Wonderland. Families can enjoy live music, an alpine bar, and themed characters every weekend.
When: Daily until Saturday, January 6.
Where: Barry Island Pleasure Park, Barry.
Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland – Cardiff
Just a 30-minute drive from Barry and a 16-minute drive from Penarth is Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland.
Families can enjoy the ice walk, ice rink, funfair attractions, Sur La Piste, ice bar and the big wheel.
When: Daily until Sunday, January 7.
Where: City Hall Lawn, Cardiff.
