CARDIFF Bus has announced timetable changes to bus routes for the Christmas and New Year period.

All bus routes will be altered for the festive period between Saturday, December 23, and Sunday, January 7.

Cardiff Bus is advising people to check the Christmas and New Year timetables for changes to their service.

The following changes will be in place:

  • Saturday, December 23 - Normal Saturday bus service;
  • Sunday, December 24 (Christmas Eve) – Sunday timetable with an early finish;
  • Monday, December 25 (Christmas Day) and Tuesday, December 26 (Boxing Day) ­- No bus services;
  • Wednesday, December 27, December 28, and December 29 – There will be Saturday timetables with extra buses on Barry and Penarth routes 92, 94, and 95;
  • Saturday, December 30 – Normal Saturday bus service;
  • Sunday, December 31 (New Year's Eve) Sunday timetables with early finish;
  • Monday, January 1 (New Year's Day) No bus services
  • Tuesday, January 2 – Friday, January 5 – There will be Saturday timetables with extra buses on Barry and Penarth routes 92, 94, and 95.

The following Vale bus routes will finish early on Christmas Eve.

  • Route 92 - Cardiff to Penarth will finish at 4.30pm, and Penarth to Cardiff at 5pm;
  • Route 94 – Cardiff to Barry and Barry to Cardiff will finish at 6pm;
  • Route 95 – Normal Sunday service;
  • Route 96 - Cardiff to Barry will finish at 6pm and Barry to Cardiff will finish at 6.07pm.

All bus routes will return to normal on Saturday, January 6 and Sunday, January 7.
