CHRISTMAS is on its way to Barry and the town will be marking the start of the festive season in style.
Barry Town Council and Vale of Glamorgan have announced the town's Christmas lights will be switched on on Thursday, November 30, to kick off the festive season.
It will be part of a weekend of fun, starting at midday until 8 pm, with lots of entertainment provided as Father Christmas switches on the Kings Square Christmas lights at 6.30 pm.
The Christmas Festival will take place at Kings Square and Central Park from November 30 until Saturday, December 2.
There will be plenty of fun across the centre, with street entertainers, music, food, drinks, and crafts along with late-night shopping until 7.30pm.
On Friday, December 1 and December 2 Santa’s grotto will be there to enjoy on both days from midday until 8pm.
To close the festival the council are putting on a Christmas film in the park, on Saturday afternoon. Holton Road Pedestrian area will also host a festive funfair for the three days.
