A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

THOMAS DAVIE, 35, of Hywel Crescent, Barry must pay £1,055 in fines, costs, compensation and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and causing racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress on July 2.

ALEXANDER BARNETT, 40, of Highlight Lane, Barry was banned from driving for 17 months after he admitted failing to provide specimen for analysis on October 19.

He must pay £1,135 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

MATTHEW ALEXANDER, 39, of Marloes Close, Barry was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to drink driving with namely 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath on October 20.

He must pay £838 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

RYAN EDWARDS, 31, of Shelley Crescent, Barry must pay £422 in a fine, costs, compensation and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to stealing a £169 paddleboard from Asda on September 11.

CURTIS CARD, 25, of Railway Road, Rhoose was jailed for six weeks after he pleaded guilty to being in breach of a restraining order in Ely, Cardiff on October 23.

ELECTRICAL OPTIONS, Barry must pay £1,160 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after being found guilty in their absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence on June 2.

CRAIG ANDERSON, 44, of Court Road, Barry was jailed for seven weeks after he admitted assaulting police officer Sophie Powell on Broad Street on April 26.

He must pay £150 in compensation.

SKYE MARK AARON DEACON, 43, of Talybont Close, St Athan must pay £304 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 46mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road on April 12.

His driving record was endorsed with five points.

SCOTT COLIN WALTERS, 42, of Kenson Close, Fontygary, Rhoose was fined £200 after he drove while using a handheld mobile phone on the M4 motorway in Cardiff at Junction 33 on June 29.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

SANTIAGO DAJCAJ, 30, of Melrose Walk, Sully must pay £294 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance on Cardiff Road, Llandaff, Cardiff on August 29.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.
