FUNNY, honest, emotional, genuine – Davina McCall came to South Wales and she did not disappoint.
Of Big Brother fame, Davina was in Penarth on Thursday, October 19, promoting her new book Menopausing: The Positive Roadmap to Your Second Spring, raising the often taboo subject of the menopause.
Everyone from Griffin Books, who hosted Davina, to the photographer said how the TV personality was kind, down to earth and approachable.
Davina began her whistle-stop tour of Penarth in Griffin Books on Windsor Road, holding a book signing between 4pm and 5pm.
Then, later in the evening, Davina, along with co-author Dr Naomi Potter, wowed a crowd of almost 450 people at Stanwell School where they discussed more about the menopause as well as having some fun on the way – it was said to be an emotional event.
'Menopausing: The Positive Roadmap to Your Second Spring'
Davina McCall and Dr Naomi Potter break the silence over the menopause in a ground-breaking book that discusses every aspect of the menopause.
By explaining the science, debunking damaging myths, and smashing taboos around the perimenopause and menopause, the book is described as something that will equip women to make the most informed decisions about their health, and their lives.
