A main bus route to Barry and Penarth from Cardiff was closed this morning to deal with reports of a person falling into the river Taff.
Cardiff Bus services to Barry and Penarth were diverted following the road closure on Wood Street Bridge.
Services 92, 93 and 94 were diverted via Penarth Road to Park Street, while service 95 was diverted via Sloper Road, Penarth Road, and Park Street.
The bridge was closed for two hours from 8 a.m. this morning while emergency services searched along the river.
A search of the river is still ongoing after reports of a man in difficulty in the fast-flowing water.
The bridge re-opened at 10 a.m., with bus services to Barry and Penarth returning to normal.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Emergency services are at the scene of an ongoing incident in Cardiff City Centre following a report at 7.53 am of a person in the River Taff near Wood Street Bridge.
“The road re-opened at 10 am but enquires are ongoing.”
