A MAN was taken to hospital after an alleged serious assault in Llantwit Major at the weekend.
Officers were called to Bedford Rise at 10.30pm on Saturday, August 26, after receiving reports of a supposed assault in the area.
A man was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been released with no arrests made.
Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking anybody with information to come forward.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Officers are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault which occurred around 10:30 pm yesterday evening Saturday on Bedford Rise, Llantwit Major.
"The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries but has since been released from hospital.
"Currently, no arrests have been made and officers are continuing to investigate the incident and are appealing for anyone with information relating to this incident.”
