A POPULAR chain bakery has relocated to a larger unit.
Greggs was founded by John Gregg in 1939 when he opened a Tyneside bakery – more than 80 years on and there are more than 2,000 Greggs in the UK.
This includes a Greggs in Llantwit Major which has moved to a bigger unit – here’s all you need to know about it…
Where is the Greggs?
This Greggs outlet is based at The Precinct, on Boverton Road, in Llantwit Major. It was formerly based at a smaller unit at U3 Pondfield Shopping Centre.
The Llantwit Major shop has a fresh new look and includes indoor and outdoor seating (with takeaway options also available).
What will be on offer at the new unit?
The shop, on Boverton Road, will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, including the sausage roll (along with the vegan sausage roll and other meat-free alternatives) and the steak bake.
There will also be freshly-made bakes and sweet treats including cookies, doughnuts, custard slices and more. Plus, Greggs will have a range of hot (and cold) drinks available. All the hot drinks are 100 per cent Fairtrade.
How can I order from Greggs?
People can pop into the Llantwit Major Greggs and see what’s in stock, with the venue offering a breakfast deal (offering a breakfast roll or baguette with an orange juice or hot drink) until 11am each day.
Alternatively, people will be able from the venue on Boverton Road to make Click + Collect orders via the Greggs app.
What are the opening hours for the Greggs?
- The Llantwit Major Greggs will be open from 6.30am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.
- It will be open from 7.30am to 6pm on Sundays.
What has been said about the new store?
Retail operations director for Greggs, Gillian Long, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming customers to our improved shop in Llantwit Major.
"We look forward to providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their favourite Greggs food.”
Will the store create jobs?
Any further jobs created at Greggs - including Llantwit Major and the rest of the Vale of Glamorgan - will be posted here: www.greggsfamily.co.uk
