THERE were dramatic scenes on the M4 this morning as a vehicle caught fire.
The incident was first reported an 7.17am.
The fire was on the eastbound carriageway of the M4 between Junction 25 (Caerleon) and Junction 24 (Coldra).
At 7.20am Gwent police issues advice to avoid the area,
They said: "Emergency services are dealing with a vehicle on fire, close to Christchurch on the M4 between Junction 25 towards Junction 24, eastbound.

As yet, there has been no reports of injuries
Fire crews were working to extinguish the flames, and at 7.30am reopened the left-hand lane.
All traffic had been diverted to the hard shoulder while the blaze was burning.
The middle and right-hand lanes remained closed and blocked by the burned-out vehicle, which appeared to be a van.
At workers were repairing the road surface, with the middle and right-hand lanes still closed.
The latest is there are still eight miles of queues.
