A WOMAN who brings moo-sical fun to families has expanded – and been nominated for an award.
Farmer Kirsty (Kirsty Palfrey) brought Moo Music – interactive musical sessions for children aged zero to five – to the Vale in January and it has proven popular.
"I have had fabmoolous feedback; I always smile when someone compliments me or my sessions," said Ms Palfrey.
"There have been comments about my enthusiasm, passion and warmth, along with the catchy songs, great themes, resources and props."
She added that she “absolutely loves” being Farmer Kirsty and that it is “so rewarding” to watch children grow and develop at their own pace and to work with the community.
“I was so grateful to be able to take part in the winter of wellbeing and summer of fun schemes," she added.
"It meant many families in the Vale were able to access resources they may not have otherwise been able too."
Ms Palfrey has been nominated for a ‘new start up of the year’ award at Wales Children’s Activities and Services Awards with the winners to be announced on October 14.
“I am honoured, thrilled, and excited to be nominated, said Ms Palfrey.
“I can’t wait to attend the award ceremony with my family and friends, just to be able to meet other people that have similar businesses and have been doing it for much longer.
"I pride myself on being a welcoming, bubbly person and feel that my sessions cater for all - ensuring everyone feels reassured that were are all in it together
"We are all parents doing our best for our little ones.
"I just want to bring them 40 minutes of enjoyment, where their little ones are safe, can explore, smile, play and laugh and the grown ups can have a chat, interact with their little ones, feel relaxed and have some fun.
Moo Music also recently expanded to offer classes in Penarth as there was “lots of interest” in Penarth classes during community events; these are held on Friday mornings at Glyndwr Community Centre.
