A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
STEPHEN MILLS, 62, of Jenner Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £269 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a British Transport Police PCSO Adam Lewis at Cardiff Central train station on December 18, 2021.
LEANNE PERRETT, 37, of Holton Road, Barry, was jailed for 10 weeks, suspended for 18 months, after she admitted theft by stealing 51 items worth £244.25 from Poundland on May 18.
She must complete a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £483.25 in compensation, costs and a surcharge.
THOMAS BATEMAN, 30, of Wolfe Close, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to drug driving with a cannabis derivative in his blood on Argae Lane on March 9.
He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
DAVID WILSON, 39, of Somerset View, Sully, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified on July 14.
He was ordered to pay £757 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
JAMES CROSS, 34, of Mountbatten Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
JANE ELIZABETH BARRETT, 57, of Lakin Drive, Barry, was ordered to pay £200 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West, Cardiff, on March 15.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
REBECCA SHEILA HOCKING, 47, of Fouracres Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 40mph in a 30mph zone on Skomer Road on March 13.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
ELLIE METCALFE, 28, of Borough Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Skomer Road on March 13.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
