PEOPLE all over the UK recently celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
Queen Elizabeth II has been on the throne for 70 years - she is the longest reigning British monarch in history.
To mark the historic occasion there was a four-day bank holiday (from June 2 to June 5) with beacons lit all over the country - including in the Vale of Glamorgan - along with fireworks, fancy dress, street parties and more.
Members of the public, and of Vale of Glamorgan Camera Club, have shared photos of the festivities for the Platinum Jubilee.
This includes Bobby Kenny who sent photos of a street party hosted on Elizabeth Avenue in 2022, along with nostalgic pictures of a party on that same street back in 1969.
Alexandra Francis shared a photo of her daughter dressed up like the Queen on Thursday, June 2.
Ms Francis said:
"My daughter dressed up as the queen and hosted an afternoon tea party at The Gallery Coffee shop.
"We are a not-for-profit organisation; all the takings from events like this - and from the shop - go straight back into the community.
"We help young people and families in Barry through services at the Cube."
And even the post boxes got into the spirit of things - donning Jubilee inspired tops.
