A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

CORY POUNTEY, 31, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £436.90 in a fine, costs, compensation and a surcharge after it was proved in his absence that he attempted to travel on a railway with Transport for Wales between Barry Docks and Cardiff Central without having previously paid his fare of £3.90 and with intent to avoid payment thereof on October 7, 2021.

GRAEME MACKAY, 35, of Cardiff Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

KATHERINE JONES, 30, of Coronation Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
