TEN speeding Barry drivers have been fined more than £1,000 combined for their offences in the past couple of weeks.
Brian Simpkins, 54, of Narberth Court, Barry, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 28.
He was caught doing 35mph on Skomer Road on September 6, where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Shaun Andrew Boyles, 46, of Warwick Way, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 12.
He was caught doing 53mph on A48 Brocastle on September 29, where the limit is 40mph. He was fined £58 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Wesley Braithwaite, 44, of Holmes Street, Barry, admitted speeding at Bodmin Magistrates Court on April 11.
He was caught doing more than 70mph on the A38 Wrangaton on June 28 where the maximum speed limit is 70mph. He was fined £66 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge.
Emily Constance Price, 28, of Llewellyn Street, Barry, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 5.
She was caught doing 55mph on Mwyndy Cross in Pontyclun on September 18 where the limit is 40mph. She was fined £66 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge.
Mercedes Price, 29 of Ffordd y Dociau, Barry, was found guilty of speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 8.
She was caught doing 30mph on Butrills Road outside Sant Curig Primary School on October 1, where the limit is 20mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Andrew Robert Breadmore, 43, of Buttrills Walk, Barry, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 11.
He was caught doing 24mph on St Andrews Major CIW Primary School on September 29 where the limit is 20mph. He was fined £220 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Daniel Lewis Mallan, 28 of York Place, Barry admitted speeding at Newport Magistrates Court on April 13.
He was caught doing 40mph on A472 in Maesycwmmer on September 1. The limit for the road is 30mph. He was fined £40 and banned from driving for six months. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Sadie Jane Louise Lewis, 47, of Llys Llechwedd Jenner, Barry, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 5.
She was caught doing 24mph on Butrills Road outside Sant Curig Primary School on October 1. The limit for the road is 20mph. She was fined £110 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Leah-May Fraher, 26, of Hillary Rise, Barry, was found guilty of speeding by Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 5.
She was caught doing 26mph on Victoria Park Road outside Cadoxton Primary School on September 28. The limit for the road is 20mph. She was fined £220 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Matthew Watkins, 36, of Blackberry Drive, Barry, admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 29.
He was caught doing 36mph on A473 Cowbridge Road junction with Coychurch Road on September 12 where the limit is 30mph. He was fined £107 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
