THE latest data from Public Health Wales includes 10 Covid-related deaths in Wales, but none in Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (UHB).

Public Health Wales’ latest data, which reflect a 24-hour period up to 9am yesterday (Wednesday April 13) includes 10 Covid-related deaths and 338 newly reported cases of coronavirus.

None of these newly reported deaths occurred within Cardiff and Vale UHB.

Four of the deaths occurred in Betsi Cadwaladr UHB, two in Swansea Bay UHB, one in Aneurin Bevan UHB, one in Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB, one in Hywel Dda UHB, and one in Powys Teaching Health Board (THB) – according to Public Health Wales.

This brings Public Health Wales’ death toll – throughout the entire Covid pandemic – to 7,255 which includes 940 in Cardiff and Vale UHB and 21 residents outside Wales.

Public Health Wales has also reported 338 newly confirmed cases of Covid, which includes 18 residents outside Wales.

Based on the Public Health Wales data there are 21 newly confirmed Covid cases in the Vale of Glamorgan and 39 in Cardiff.

The newly reported cases of coronavirus, according to Public Health Wales, are as follows:
