A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates Court for Barry and surrounding districts.
Jordan Steven Karnicki, 22, of Greenacres, Barry, was banned from driving and given a community order after being caught driving whilst disqualified.
He was caught on Holton Road in Barry on October 16 and pleaded guilty at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 22. On April 4, he was given a community order to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for 15 months, and ordered to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 costs.
Rae Louise Maxwell, 44, of Dock View Road, Barry, was banned from driving for six months after being caught driving without insurance.
She was caught on December 12 and pleaded guilty to the offence in March. On March 31, she was given the ban at Cardiff Magistrates Court alongside a £120 fine and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge and 90 costs.
Dawn Saunders, 67, of Murlande Way, Rhoose, pleaded guilty to running a red light at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 28.
She was caught on the A473 Cowbridge Road on September 10. She was fined £175 and given three points on her licence. She also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.

Rhys Benjamin Loveless, 31, of Trinity Street, Barry, escaped a ban after being caught driving without insurance.
He was caught on January 13 in Taffs Well and pleaded guilty at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 30. He was fined £750 and given six points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay a £75 surcharge and £90 costs.
Jack Thomas, 21, of Little Hill, Barry, admitted running a red light at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 1.
He was caught on November 4 on the A4061 Rotary International Way. He was fined £92 and given three points on his licence. He also had to pay a £34 surcharge and £90 costs.
Benjamin Moignard, 19, of Gladstone Road, Barry, was given six points on his licence and a £660 fine after failing to provide information relating to the identity of the driver of a vehicle.
He was found guilty of the offence – which occurred on October 20 – at Cardiff Magistrates Court on March 31. Alongside the fine and points, he was ordered to pay a £66 surcharge and £90 costs.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jodie Karen Stanley, 43 of Caernarvon Gardens, Barry who failed to appear in court. The warrant was issued at Cardiff Magistrates Court on April 4. She has been charged with assault by beating and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
