VALE of Glamorgan Camera Club has hundreds of members and we regularly feature their pictures both in paper and online
But we thought it would be good to find out more about the people who make up the club - which you can join at www.facebook.com/groups/valephotosgroup
Today we meet 29-year-old photographer Jordan Clements...
When and why did you take up photography?
When I was working in a butcher shop in Cardiff market taking pictures of the stock during the first lockdown I found it to be my calling; as a recovering alcoholic it also helps me stay sober.
Why do you love taking pictures?
It’s a release from reality for me while still in it.
Where is your favourite place to take pictures?
Cosmeston lakes as it’s my other half's favourite place to go.
What equipment do you use?
Canon Eos 1100d, Sony Xperia 5 and soon to join the family is my 85mm lens and a canon Eos 500d.
What is the favourite picture you have taken?
My picture of the Angel Hotel it was my first great long exposure shot and the first time I felt soo happy that I got the right photo.
Why did you join our camera club?
I get to see other peoples visions though their images.
Any advice for aspiring photographers?
Do it , it’s so much fun and I’d also advise them to find a friend who enjoys it as much as you do. Twice the fun.
If you could photograph anyone who would it be?
My dad so I could keep his picture close to me, as he passed away when I was 16.
