A LOCAL MP visited Tiffin Rasoi to congratulate them on being shortlisted as one of the 10 best takeaways in the UK.
As previously reported, Tiffin Rasoi was shortlisted for the award and – although they did not win - they were thrilled to be nominated for the British Curry Awards 2021, with the winners were announced in a ceremony at London's Battersea Park.
Alun Cairns MP has praised Tiffin Rasoi’s food, while congratulating them on making the shortlist.
Mr Cairns said: “It is incredible for a Barry takeaway to be recognised in this manner, to have one of the best takeaways in the UK on our High Street in Barry is something we should be very proud of.
“I was fortunate enough to taste some of their curry and it was absolutely delicious.
"Tiffin Rasoi offer free delivery to anyone in Barry so please take this chance to support them and take the opportunity to try one of the best takeaways in the whole of the nation.”
Manager of Tiffin Rasoi, Motiur Rahman, said: “I and the rest of the team were very happy to be nominated for this award; we had a fantastic trip and night out at the award ceremony in London.
“Hopefully next time we can come back to Barry with the winning award!”
