A BARRY car park will be closed during the Hallowe'en half term.
The multistorey car park on Court Road in Barry will be closed for essential work between October 25 and November 1.
According to Vale of Glamorgan Council, who run the car park, this is to "minimise disruption to school staff who use the car park during term time."
The work to be carried out follows a Fire Risk Assessment commissioned earlier this year.
Work to be carried out over the week includes:
- Removing the dry riser
- Replacing fire doors
- Undertaking health and safety works to the security lodge
Other car parks in the area will operate as normal, including:
- Kendrick Road which offers free parking
- Thompson Street which offers free parking
- Wyndham Street which is free for 0-2 hours (or on Sundays), £2 for between two and four hours of £6 for all day parking. Blue badge holders and motorcycles can park free.
