A MAN was remanded in custody after being charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon – a wooden cosh.
Joshua Smith, 20, of Vere Street, Barry, appeared before Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

The allegations made against him are claimed to have taken place in Barry on September 23.
Smith is due to appear before Cardiff Crown Court on October 25.
