COASTGUARDS were called out to Barry Island to rescue a vehicle stuck in sand.
On Sunday, September 12 the Barry Coastguard team were called out to Watch Tower Bay where two vehicles had driven onto the beach at the Old Harbour and one found themselves stuck in a deep ditch.
A third vehicle arrived at the scene and was able to tow the vehicle out.
In June of this year, when Barry Island was a popular summer destination for residents and tourists, several motorists got stuck in sand at Barry beaches - including one in a 'dangerous position' at a pebble beach.
