A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
JAMES BROWN, 33, of Aneurin Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drug driving with cannabis derivative delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.
He was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge
LEIGH MADISON JAMES, 29, of Montgomery Road, Barry, was banned from driving for three years after he pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen.
He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.

JASON ALBERT HARRY, 29, of Railway Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £254 in compensation, a fine and surcharge after he admitted assault and the theft of a £10 box of Stella Artois lager from the S & S Store.
EWAN BOWLER, 22, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £219 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at the Express Holiday Inn, Port Road, Rhoose.
ASHLEY PRITCHARD, 28, of Romilly Park Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 41mph in a 30mph zone in St Athan.
Her driving record was endorsed with four points.
TYRONE PHILLIPS, 34, of Colcot Road, Barry, was banned from driving for three months for driving when using a hand-held mobile telephone.
He was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
SAMANTHA YEWLETT, 39, of Rhodfa'r Mor, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.
Her driving record was endorsed with six points.
BRADLEY HARRIS, 36, of Warwick Way, Barry, was ordered to pay £234 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he was found guilty of driving without due care and attention on The Philog, Whitchurch, Cardiff.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
JENNIFER RIFF, 34, of Quarella Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £164 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 25mph in a 20mph zone at Cadoxton Primary School, Victoria Park Road.

PHELIM JOSEPH GAHAN, 62, of Norseman Close, Fontygary, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 24mph in a 20mph zone at Rhws Primary School, Fontygary Road.

MARK ADRIAN EDWARDS, 62, of Sycamore Avenue, Eglwys Brewis, near St Athan, was ordered to pay £224 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 25mph in a 20mph zone at Sant Curig Primary School, Butrills School Road, Barry.

SARAH LOUISE GREENWELL, 46, of Everard Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £164 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 24mph in a 20mph zone at Sant Curig Primary School, Butrills School Road, Barry.
