A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
LEWIS CHRISTOPHER DAVIES, 19, of Dylan Crescent, Barry, was ordered to pay £201 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis on Holton Road.
JESUS CHRISTIANITY, 37, of Port Road, Rhoose, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he admitted racially aggravated assault and criminal damage at the Sky Plaza Hotel.
He must complete a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £380 in compensation, costs, a fine and surcharge.
MARK JASON HAGGARD, 46, of High Street, Barry, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he admitted stealing two boxes of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, cleaning products and air freshners from B&M.
He was ordered to pay £107 in costs and a surcharge.
ADAM GINA, 33, of St Mary's Avenue, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months for driving without insurance.
He was ordered to pay £259 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
CALVIN BREEN, 28, of Heol Y Berllan, Caerau, Cardiff, was banned from driving for three years after he admitted drug driving on Jenner Road in Barry with cannabis derivative tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.
He was ordered to pay £364 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
ADRIAN NYARKO DADEY, 34, of Kingsland Crescent, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance.
He was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.
JORDAN DAVID WILLIAMS, 25, of Court Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £574 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 45mph in a 30mph zone on the A4222 Cowbridge Road, Ystradowen.
His driving record was endorsed with five points.
GEMMA ASHLEIGH WILLIAMS, 35, of Romilly Park Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £100 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 44mph in a 30mph zone on the A48 in St Nicholas.
Her driving record was endorsed with three points.
ANDREW JAMES GILMOUR, 45, of St Paul's Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £244 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 48mph in a 30mph zone on Greenway Road, Rumney, Cardiff.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
JASON BENNETT BUCKLEY, 40, of Port Road, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
