THESE are the pubs in Barry which have confirmed they are re-opening their outdoor areas next week.

Welsh Government has eased coronavirus restrictions across Wales, allowing outdoor hospitality to re-open from Monday April 26 - with pubs permitted to open their beer gardens or outdoor areas.

Here are some of the pubs in Barry - listed alphabetically - which have confirmed that they will welcome people back into their outdoor areas from next week.

[The] Baruc Arms

The Baruc Arms, on Barry’s High Street, is one of 23 Stonegate Group pubs reopening on April 26.

NHS Test and Trace will be operating, with enhanced cleaning, full table service, clear social distancing measures, and external signage setting out the safety measures in place.

Brewers Fayre

Brewers Fayre on Barry Island have confirmed they will welcome people back from April 26 – in line with government guidelines.

Their website states: “We’re delighted to tell you that bookings are now open. We are open 12-9pm all week and exclusively serving food and drinks from our garden menu.”

[The] Butterfly Collector

The Butterfly Collector, on Holton Road, is an independent micropub which will welcome people into their loading bay from April 26, open from 2pm to 10pm.

The award-winning venue has always carried out table service, which will continue, with the outdoor tables spaced two metres apart and sanitized between guests. There will also be sanitizer available and signage to remind guests of the guidelines in place.

The business has also expanded to include four new cocktails and 'Fukoffee' coffee. The Butterfly Collector is not doing bookings and will operate on a first come first served basis.

Cherry Orchard

Cherry Orchard, on Barry Road, will reopen for alfresco hospitality from April 26, with bookings online at www.cherryorchardpubbarry.co.uk and walk-ins being accepted.

[The] Colcot Arms

The Colcot Arms, on Colcot Road, is taking bookings for garden tables from April 26 in line with Welsh Government guidance. People can book via their website and can order and pay using the Sizzling app.

Craft Republic

Craft Republic, which opened in a GoodSheds unit on Hood Road in August 2020, will also be welcoming people into their outdoor area next week - but not until Wednesday, April 28 (as the venue is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays).

This independent bar has 14 taps of constantly changing craft beer and is the home of Barry Island Gin and Barry Island Rum - which are recipes by owners Claire and Tim Whalley.

During lockdown the venue has operated as a shop, providing fresh draught craft beer into cans for people to take home, but the bar will re-open from April 28. It will be open from 4pm to 11pm on Wednesdays, and from 12pm to 11pm on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Finnegans Inn Bar & Chargrill

Finnegans Inn Bar & Chargrill, on Station Approach, has confirmed on Facebook that they will be reopening – for food bookings only - from April 26.

Master Mariner, on Skomer Road, will reopen for alfresco hospitality from April 26, with bookings available through Master Mariner's website and walk-ins being accepted.

Park Hotel

Park Hotel, on Park Crescent, will reopen for alfresco hospitality from April 26, with bookings available through Park Hotel's website and walk-ins being accepted.

[The] Ship

The Ship, on Harbour Road, has confirmed they will reopen their outdoor area, in line with Welsh Government guidance, on April 26. You can book online via their website or with the Greene King app.

[The] Sir Samuel Romilly

The Sir Samuel Romilly (Wetherspoons) on Broad Street will re-open its beer garden from April 26. NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect Service will be in operation and hand sanitisers will be available. The pub will not be operating a booking system.

Tynewydd Inn

Tynewydd Inn, Tynewydd House, will reopen for alfresco hospitality from April 26, with bookings available through Twynewydd Inn's website and walk-ins being accepted.
