A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
MATTHEW JOHNS, 28, of St Fagans Avenue, Barry, was banned from driving for 30 months after he admitted failing to provide a specimen.
He was ordered to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work, complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
TYLER LEWIS OCCHIOCHIUSO, 18, of Spencer Street, Barry, was banned from driving for 18 months after he admitted drug driving with cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine and ecstasy in his blood, driving without insurance and failing to stop after an accident.
He was ordered to pay £481 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
DANIEL WATKINS, 30, of Atlantic Place, Barry, was sentenced to a 24-month community order after he pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm.
He must attend an accredited programme for 35 days, complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and pay £425 in compensation, costs a fine and a surcharge.
NICO WALLACE, 28, of Broad Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £159 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour.
BRIAN GILLEN, 37, of Haven Walk, Barry, was banned from driving for two years after he admitted failing to provide a specimen.
He was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £180 in costs and a surcharge.
DANIEL ALAN JONES, aged 26, of South View, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £349 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

GARETH JONES, 69, of Merthyr Dyfan Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle.

NATHAN ELLIS, 25, of Heritage View, Llantwit Major, was ordered to pay £816 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance in Barry.
His driving record was endorsed with six points.
MARTIN BAKER, 60, of Heol Y Dryw, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone on Jenner Road in Barry.
His driving record was endorsed with three points.
JODI TARA GRAY, 40, of Winston Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone on the A4161 in Cardiff.

RACHAEL SIM, 39, of Philadelphia Close, Barry, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on the A4055 in Dinas Powys.

RAFAL TERLECKI, 40, of Llancarfan, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on North Road in Cardiff.

LYNNE ADELE ROGERS, 55, of Heol Y Sianel, Rhoose, was ordered to pay £344 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West in Cardiff.
