TOMORROW will be an icy start across the Vale.
Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for ice tomorrow morning (Saturday, February 6) in the Vale of Glamorgan, including in Barry.
Difficult driving conditions may arise from this, as there will be icy patches - with a possibility of the less visible black ice - on roads, pavements and cycle paths.
When roads are icy it's recommended to avoid travel, but this is not always possible.
When driving in icy conditions it's recommended to slow down and allow extra room for other road users.
RAC spokesman, Ben Aldous, said: "For anyone who has to drive, we’d strongly advise making sure their vehicle is ready for the cold.
"This means checking oil, coolant and screenwash levels, as well ensuring the tyres have plenty of tread and are inflated properly.
"Never attempt to use the windscreen wipers to clear an icy windscreen – you risk damaging not only the wipers but the linkages too, which could be a more costly repair."

People should also be cautious to avoid slipping on ice, while also ensuring they keep warm to avoid the risk of becoming unwell.
The warning does not currently cover this Sunday, but this may change.
Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Andy Page, has said that a 'very cold air' will be over the whole of the UK by Sunday (February 7).
