A ROUND-UP of recent cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.

BENJAMIN DAVIES, 18, of Cliff Wood View, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he pleaded guilty to taking a vehicle without consent.

He was also made the subject of a six-month youth rehabilitation order and ordered to pay a £22 surcharge.

MORGAN ADNEY, 20, of Holton Road, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge after she admitted assault by beating and threatening criminal damage.

JAMES STUART COOMER, 48, of Clive Road, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He was ordered to pay £1,053 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge.

SIMON JOHN HICKEY, 45, of Pontalun Close, Barry, was sentenced to a community order after he was found guilty of two public order offences.

He was made the subject of a four-week curfew and restraining order and must complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement.

Hickey must also pay £140 costs and a £90 surcharge.

BENJAMIN TODD, 25, of Gaen Street, Barry, was banned from driving for six months for driving without insurance.

He was ordered to pay £811 in a fine, costs and a surcharge.

ANTHONY CANNON, 20, of Jacksons Quay, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 in a fine, costs and a surcharge after he admitted sending a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.

BENJAMIN ALLEN, 45, of Severn Avenue, Barry, was ordered to pay £239 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge for driving without insurance.

His driving record was endorsed with six points.

KELLY LEIGH HAVARD, 33, of Fitzhammon Avenue, Llantwit Major, was ordered to pay £157 by way of a fine, costs and a surcharge after she admitted being drunk and disorderly in Barry.

CHANTELLE BRIGHT, 33, of Cardiff Road, Dinas Powys, was conditionally discharged for six months after she pleaded guilty to theft of goods worth £40 from Tesco.

She was ordered to pay £146 by way of compensation, costs and a surcharge.

AARON NICHOLAS STAVRAKIS, 32, of Hayes Road, Sully, was ordered to pay £811 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver.

His licence was endorsed with six points.

WOJCIECH JERZY WENDOLOWSKI, 65, of Spencer Street, Barry, was ordered to pay £569 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 42mph in a 30mph zone in St Athan.

His licence was endorsed with four points.

CHELSEA COTTLE, 26, of Y Cerigos, Barry, was ordered to pay £183 in a fine, costs and a surcharge for speeding at 40mph in a 30mph zone on Romilly Park Road.

Her licence was endorsed with three points.
