SOUTH Wales Police officers are appealing for information after a man was assaulted on Fordd y Dociau, in Barry, on Monday, July 6.
The 30-year-old local man, was approaching the footbridge as he was heading towards Barry Island when he was chased towards Ffordd y Mileniwm by a group of about eight males aged between about 17 and 20 years of age.
As he was running away, the victim tripped and was set upon by the group of people before they then made off.

Officers want to hear from anyone who may have witnesses the assault or who may have any information which will help to identify those responsible.
