A ROUND-UP of recent Barry cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court.
RYAN LEWIS O'DONOVAN, 18, of Pontypridd Road, Barry, was banned from driving for 20 months after he admitted drink-driving on Lower Morel Street.
He was also fined £150 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
JONATHAN BRYANT, 43, of Merthyr Dyfan Court, Barry, was fined £220 for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cardiff’s Cowbridge Road West outside Dusty Forge.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with three points.

LUKE JOHN HURST, 34, of Courtney Road, Barry, was banned from driving for three years after he admitted drug-driving with cocaine derivative benzoylecgonine and cannabis derivative Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
CONOR SEAN MELINN, 27, of Laugharne Court, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months after he admitted drink-driving on Holton Road.
He was also fined £160 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge.
SIMON MUNRO, 46, of Afal Sur, Barry, was banned from driving for 22 months after pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen.
He was also ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and must pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge.
MELVIN JOSEPH WILLIAM CHESAITES, 22, of Hathaway Place, Barry, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £120 after he pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs, a £34 surcharge and £34.61 compensation after he admitted a separate offence of making off without paying for fuel.
MITCHELL CHARLES TAYLOR-MOORE, 32, of Brenig Close, Barry, was fined £250 and ordered to pay £300 in compensation after he admitted the criminal damage of windows and doors at the BOROUGH ARMs.
He must pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
RHYS ADAM GEISHEIMER, 24, of Queen Street, Barry, was fined £660 after he drove without insurance.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.
TRISTAN O'BRIEN, 29, of North Walk, Barry, was fined £660 after he drove without insurance and otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.
MATTHEW IAN PHILLIPS, 43, of Barry Road, Barry, was fined £400 for speeding at 51mph in a 30mph zone on Cardiff’s Cowbridge Road West outside Dusty Forge.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £40 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with three points.
SIMON COX, 44, of Pontypridd Road, Barry, was fined £192 for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on the A4055 Cardiff Road in Dinas Powys.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with three points.
CASEY WILLIAMSON, 24, of Laleston Close, Barry, was fined £80 after she pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis.
She must pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
KANE MARTIN WESTERN, 19, of Milton Road, Barry, was fined £120 after he admitted resisting a constable and public disorder.
He must also pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
NEIL JAMES EDWARDS, 39, of FFORDD ELIN, Barry, was fined £40 for speeding at 68mph in a 50mph zone on the M4 at Port Talbot.
He was also ordered to pay £30 costs and a £30 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with three points.
