A ROUND-UP of recent Barry cases heard at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court and Newport Magistrates’ Court.
MARK THOMAS COOMBS, 41, of Pardoe Crescent, Barry, was banned from driving for 14 months after he admitted drug-driving with delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the main psychoactive ingredient of cannabis, in his blood.
He was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
LEE MALDWYN WALLACE, 43, of Shakespeare Road, Barry, was sentenced to a 12-month community order after he pleaded guilty to two counts of assaulting a police constable.
He was ordered to undertake a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £40, told to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.

MICHEAL JOHN EVANS, 36, of College Road, Barry, was fined £660 for driving without insurance.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £66 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.
DUNCAN WHITE, 41, of Clos Celyn, Barry, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after he admitted a public order offence at Cardiff Queen Street station.
He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
ALEX WASHINGTON BASTON, 25, of Windsor Road, Barry was fined £192 for driving without insurance.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £34 surcharge and his driving licence was endorsed with six points.
ELIZABETH PATRICIA HOUGHTON, 41, of Pinewood Square, St Athan, was fined £220 for speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone on Cowbridge Road West outside Dusty Forge in Cardiff.
She was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge and her driving licence was endorsed with three points.
LINTON LEWIS ROGERS, 22, of Vere Street, Barry, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £150 after he admitted that he failed to comply with supervision requirements imposed following his release from a period of detention.
