KNIGHT Hugh (Ivor) Passed away peacefully at the Sam Davies Ward, Barry Hospital on 15th April, after bravely fighting illness for so long. He was the beloved husband of Win for nearly 50 years, most loved father to David, Gareth and James, and dearest father in law to Helena and Sun-Young. He was a loving brother to Derek (Australia), Godfrey and his dear sister Lorraine and the late Brian, Clive and Roger. He will be sorely missed by all his extended family and so many friends. He had a private funeral at the Cardiff and Glamorgan Crematorium in Barry on 5th May. The family would like to thank the B2 and B5 Wards at UHW for their expertise and excellent care and to the staff of the Sam Davies Ward, for making his last week of life so dignified and peaceful. Both Hospitals showed kindness and consideration that went above and beyond the call of duty. We have such amazing people within our NHS. The family will have a celebration of Hughs' life later in the year.
