DOWNEY VALERIE Peacefully after a long illness borne with courage and good spirit on 25th March 2014 at the Marie Curie Hospice, Penarth aged 79 years. Beloved wife of the late and much missed Gerald, loving mother of Michael and Helen, respected mother-in-law of Ellen and Tomos, doting grandmother of Tom and Huw, a good neighbour and friend to many. Resting at A G Adams & Son, Funeral Home, Gladstone Road, Barry until the service at All Saints Church, Barry on Tuesday 8th April 2014 at 12 noon followed by a committal service (for family and close friends only) at the Cardiff & Glamorgan Crematorium, Port Road East, Barry at 1.30pm. Please wear a Marie Curie daffodil at the service. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of flowers to either the Marie Curie Cancer Care (Holme Tower) or Tenovus may be sent to the funeral home.
