COX GILLIAN BARBARA The truly devoted wife, for 48 years, of me, Alec Assman, a dearly loving mother of our two children and greatly respected by their partner and daughter-in-law, and dearest grandmother to our four granddaughters. In 2011 Gillian had a breast cancer operation but very unexpectedly the cancer returned. Sadly, and after a short illness, Gillian died peacefully on Sunday, 7th April, 2013, at Jersey General Hospital, aged 70; our having moved, as a family, to Jersey almost 40 years ago. Gillian was a wonderful, gentle and kind lady who will never be forgotten for her loving ways. She will be greatly missed. "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam and I'll be a sunbeam for Him."
