ON Saturday, June 1, anybody hoping for a quiet ordinary visit to Barry library were out of luck as they were treated to a 'technicolour' flash mob!
The flash mob was arranged by local theatre group 'Pukka' who will be performing Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' at The Barry Memorial Hall in July.
The flash mob was to help signify the end of the recent and highly successful Barry Arts Festival, in which Pukka played a large part, with Joseph, played by Joe Green, leading the parade through Barry.
Pukka will be revisiting 'Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat', after the success they experienced when they put it on in 2005. Many of the small children that had parts in the chorus back then are now principal cast members, showing how Pukka nurtures and help potential young stars.
The flash mob was a huge success with Zen Creasey bringing the library to a standstill with the opening lines of 'Jacob and sons' with Joseph appearing from upstairs in his 'amazing technicolour dreamcoat'. All visitors to the library appeared to thoroughly enjoy the entertainment, showing their appreciation by giving a rapturous round of applause.
