A MAN has been arrested after armed police were called to an incident in a Barry street yesterday.
Police attended a house on Vere Street at approximately 3.10pm on Wednesday, September 20 after concerns were raised for the welfare of the occupant.
Armed units were later deployed as a precaution after threats were made towards the attending officers.
No officers were injured during the incident and a woman who was also inside the property was also unharmed.
A 36-year-old man was arrested and is due to appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court today (Friday, September 22) charged with affray.
